Expertise centre welcomes Vietnamese delegation
The Saxion expertise centre for health and technology welcomed a Vietnamese delegation from Hanoi, who will be our guests until March 18. The delegation consists of prominent staff members of the Ministry of Health, as well as a number of directors of schools in the field of healthcare.

The delegation has a desire to use the knowledge and expertise Saxion has on competence-based education and high quality management. The course offers an extensive programme, including visits to local healthcare institutions. The delegation is particularly impressed by the practical-minded character of the course. Minister of Health mr. Dung, “Saxion’s course has a good reputation in Vietnam. We are seeking to innovate in our educational programme and we are convinced that we can learn a lot from each other.”
The visit is the result of a project carried out by Saxion at a number of universities in Vietnam over the past five years. During that period, lecturers and staff from the expertise centre have helped upgrading the healthcare education on a university of applied sciences level. The delegation currently visiting the Netherlands is considering running a similar project for a slightly lower level of education. Apart from visiting Saxion, the Vietnamese delegation will be visiting schools and universities in Paris and Birmingham.
